This is a short post. Two weeks ago when we had snow and ice, the feathered critters made a pit stop at our patio pond. Fortunately for me (not the most patient of ornithology photo-takers) they hung around for a cooperative photo-shoot. Aren't they adorable?
I'm pretty sure they're western goldfinches. I asked the expert (below) but he ignored me.
